Jewelry designer Jane Kaye gives The Newland Smith Team some insight into why she loves living in Boynton Beach.
What do you love most about where you live?
I love where we live because there is a sense of community. Moving down from NYC was a little daunting, but we have made great friends. Everyone is extremely supportive of one another, and it has helped immensely with acclimating, not being homesick, and also with my business as a fine jewelry designer (janekayejewelry.com). Not to mention, living in a gated community gives you an extra sense of security, creating a great atmosphere to raise children. Boynton is centrally located near the turnpike, so it is extremely easy to get to other areas like Delray, Boca, Palm Beach and Miami.

What is your favorite local restaurant?
Although Buccan is my favorite restaurant in South Florida, I love Chris’ Taverna for a reliable, easy, no frills dinner.

Favorite place to meet up with friends?
Everyone in my area is very social, so if we aren’t meeting friends at a restaurant, we love entertaining or going to other people’s homes for BBQ’s, dinner or drinks.
Favorite specialty store?
My favorite specialty store is Revolve, a clothing store that offers a variety of easy, everyday wear. I also love Bedner’s Farm Market for their fresh produce.

Our readers love to know about local hidden gems. What is your Boynton favorite?
One of the best hidden gems in our area is the Flower Truck off of Lyons Road. They have the most beautiful assortment, made custom to your liking on the spot, and you can walk away with an enormous bouquet for $35 dollars that lasts two weeks! It’s always nice to have fresh flowers around the house.
